"As It Was" Music Video

Styles just recently released a brand new hit song "As It Was" which is on top charts worldwide. Currently it's in #2 position on Billboard Hot 100 chart. There is a very interesting story behind the writing of the lyrics to Harry Styles' song, "As It Was." It all revolves around Olivia Wilde and a viral video. In December of 2018, Olivia Wilde shared a now-viral video of her singing the Harry Styles song, "Still Crazy." In the video, Olivia is wearing what looks like a Christmas sweater with a pair of very high boots.

As she sings the first line of the song, she removes her coat and hood, and it is very clear that she is not wearing a bra.

It is unknown if Harry Styles saw the video or if he had seen the explicit content of the song that was leaked to the public before its release. However, after seeing the video, Harry decided to include the line, "I feel the need, the need for speed," in the song.

This directly referenced Olivia's need for speed in the viral video. It Was" is a viral novella. Don't get me wrong, I love a good private jet as much as the next person, but I'm pretty sure the wealthy Newmans wouldn't have access to one. Thematically, "As It Was" breaks down into two groups of lyrics. The first set are the lines that tell the story, and the second set are the fillia lines that create the inner monologue of the song. In the story, Harry is trying to kiss a girl, but she continually pushes him away. He asks her to just hold his hand, and as they walk down the street, he tells her that they are walking to lose their virginity to each other.

She says that she doesn't want to lose her virginity to him, to which he replies "You could say that I'm here to make that decision for you." The two go back and forth on whether or not to have sex, and at one point, the girl asks "Do you even know What you're doing? " to which Harry responds "I think so, yeah. " You can laern to play this popular song in minutes.

You can download here and start your learning journey. This masterpiece was originally written in A major. The rythm is "groovy/energetic".
